Campbell was working at the youth center site. They were almost finished and he was excited for it to open soon.
“Campbell?”
He turned and saw his grandfather there with two police officers.
“Let’s go into the trailer, Campbell. We need to have a talk, and it should be done in private.”
He nodded and followed them to the trailer. He had no clue what was going on but it couldn’t be good if cops were involved.
“Sit down, Campbell.”
He sat and looked at his grandfather. “What is going on, Grandpa?”
Andy sat down across the desk from his grandson. “It’s Rita. She’s gone.”
Campbell looked at his grandfather trying to understand what he was being told.
“What do you mean? Did she go somewhere? Did she move out?”
Andy shook his head.
“Mr. Powell, your fiance was found by the neighbor in the pool. It was too late to save her. I’m sorry.”
Campbell looked from the cop to his grandfather then shook his head.
“No. She was getting ready to go to work when I talked to her at lunch time. She’s at work.”
He grabbed his phone and called Rita’s number but got no answer.
“She’s probably just busy. She is too busy to answer her phone.”
He looked at his grandfather and could see the sadness in his eyes. He shook his head.
“Grandpa? Please tell me she is at work and is too busy to answer.”
“I’m sorry, Campbell.”
Andy wrapped his arms around his grandson, hugging him tight.
Killer! Stop already! That’s so sad……

It is sad. This chapter was not an easy one to write. I am playing Campbell’s traits though. He randomly rolled a CC trait that I have in the game.
