Andy had once again talked to the cops, and had once again been told that they were still investigating Zalia’s murder. He was starting to get angry with their answer of having no answers. It was not an acceptable answer.
He walked across the hall to his cousin’s office and sat down.
Antonio looked at his cousin. “Still nothing?”
Andy shook his head. “I don’t know what the problem is. Maybe they just don’t care. To them she was just another normal victim.”
“To you she was the woman you love. I hate seeing you like this, man. Let me see what I can find out. Maybe the police missed something.”
Andy had wanted to let the police handle things, but it was clear that they couldn’t do the job. He nodded his head.
“Go ahead. The police have cleared the house. I haven’t had it cleaned yet. I just can’t make that call.”
Anthony felt bad for his cousin. “I’ll take care of it.”
“Thank you.”
“Is there anybody you think we should be looking at?”
“Her ex-boyfriend, Slade Lucas.”
Gonna find that dude….that was awful what he did to her. He deserves whatever they do to him….but it could blow back to Andy even if he winds up being innocent..
