Andy sat with his uncles. He had told them everything that was happening with the girls.
Daniel sat listening to his nephew and growing more angry with every word. He knew what it felt like to lose his children because of someone else. He had never gotten over losing his wife and their daughters.
“Let me see what I can find out about this guy before we do anything.”
“I know he hurt my daughters. I don’t need to know anything else about him.”
“I understand, Andrew. I am not happy about that either. You can’t act on feelings though. That is how you either get caught or get killed.”
Andy shook his head. “I can’t let him get away with what he did, Uncle Daniel.”
“He won’t. If the legal system doesn’t take care of him, I will. You are going to stay out of it and keep yourself out of trouble.”
As much as he didn’t want to, he agreed to what his uncle said.
“Your daughters need you to be home for them, not in jail or a grave.”
Andy nodded. “I don’t plan to let either happen.”
