Zaiden was working on his small garden when Rowana arrived.
“Hello, Andy.”
Zaiden looked up at the woman. “Hello, Ma’…Rowana. Is there something that I can help you with?”
“It’s a beautiful day for a picnic. Wouldn’t you agree?”
“Yes, it sure is.”
“I think you should join me.”
“I don’t think I can, Rowana. I have a lot of work to do.’
“I don’t think you understand. You will join me on my picnic, Zaiden.”
Zaiden looked at her. How had she found out? They had been so careful not to use their real names around others.
Zaiden nodded. He knew that he had no choice. He had to find out how much she knew and what she planned to do with the information.
He put his things away and went with her.
“How did you know?”
“They showed pictures of you and your sisters on the news. Your aunt and uncle are looking for you.”
He knew he should have called them to let them know they were okay. He should have known that they would worry and try to find them. He made a mental note to call them.
“What do you plan to do?” Zaiden was afraid that she would turn them in and they would be separated.
“I will take you and your sisters to my house. I will apply for guardianship so all three of you can stay together.”
Zaiden liked the idea of them staying together. He had questions though.
“What do you get out of this?”
“I get the family that I otherwise would never have.”
Okay….random lady wants to take, them in….not….what’s up,with that? And he’s going to do it? Don’t trust her…nope. Maybe, but odd..

Don’t trust her is probably smart, but since she knows their secret…

I did borrow parts of that movie for parts of the story. It shows up more in generation 3.
